When I wrote The Lost Princess of Howling Sky, I decided the series needed a map. Most high fantasy books have maps. It had to be done. I also needed a map for myself because the visual helps me keep track of things. Win-win. I figured why not make it pretty and share it with my readers while I was at it.
As you can see, the map for The Lost Princess of Howling Sky is rather small. There are two patches of light areas and everything else is shaded. The Lost Princess of Howling Sky takes place years after From Blood to Ashes. Yep. An event you’ll see at the end of From Blood to Ashes screws up the entire world that badly. That event is called the Hellfire Strike. If you’ve read The Lost Princess of Howling Sky, you know what I’m talking about.
Yes, that really happens at the end of From Blood to Ashes. That’s kind of a spoiler but not because that’s what the last book in the series will be titled. But don’t worry. I said our hero and heroine will overcome. How, you ask? That is a very good question.
In the meantime, look at this extended Map of Prime–before the Hellfire Strike. You see all these places that got destroyed? Wonder what they were like before they got destroyed? Let’s dive in and find out.
You can read Vampyre, the prologue, for FREE.
And you can read the first 12 chapters of Vampire Captives, the first book in the series, also for free–if you’re subscribed to my newsletter.
All of you who have read The Lost Princess of Howling Sky, get ready. You are going to love this new series. All you new readers will too (hopefully). Both series stand perfectly well on their own, but if you like going in deep and enjoy Prime, it’s time for more.
And more.
I plan on writing many stories in this world. And you’ll love them all. (Hopefully!)
