Third Party Vendors
This website participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
This website contains links to other parties (mostly Amazon). They each have their own privacy policies.
Commenting on Posts
If you want to interact with a post, go ahead! A name and email address are not required. If you decide to fill those fields out, please understand that the name will show on this site. The email address will only be visible to me, the admin, which I will use only if I need to get into contact with you.
You have the option of giving me your email address if you would like to sign up for my newsletter. Your IP address might also be recorded when you open my newsletter to infer your country. This is just to get an idea of what kind of engagement I get from that country. This data is used so I can email you and have an idea of who my audience is. It may also be used in things like Facebook audiences, where the information you’ve provided me is matched up with a Facebook profile, and Facebook ads that show you my books; your information is hashed to better protect privacy. My newsletter is book focused. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe option at the end of every newsletter.
I store your information on my MailerLite account, my newsletter service provider, and offline, on my password-protected home network, in case something should ever happen to MailerLite. I keep records up to five years. I won’t use your email again if you’ve unsubscribed during that time.
Sharing Personal Data
I take your privacy seriously. I only share your personal data when I’m legally required to, or as necessary with third parties who provide services that require such. Facebook is the prime example. If you’ve given me your name or email, I may use them in advertising beyond my newsletter, but as with Facebook, proper steps are taken to protect your privacy.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me directly by emailing email@example.com.
