From Blood to Ashes is BACK

Update 1/30/2021: Kestra’s Patreon has been closed.

I don’t have as much time to write as I used to, but I really want to finish From Blood to Ashes. Prime is my favorite world to play in–so far. I might create another world in the future that tops it, but for now, it’s my favorite.

Which brings me to the From Blood to Ashes serial.

The serial and the novels are NOT the same. Well, past chapter 41. Up to chapter 41, the serial’s text is identical to Vampire Captives. The chapters after that will be a somewhat polished draft of the yet-to-be-written novels.

The serial version will be free to everyone and published 5 chapters at a time, as episodes, on various retailers. They should be perfectly fine to read, and the story should be mostly in place, but they are a draft. The series will eventually be available in its final form, as actual for-sale novels, sometime after the serial is complete.

Why do this, then? Accountability. I don’t have as much time to write as I used to, but I have the bug and want to share my stories. Doing this ensures From Blood to Ashes will conclude. That makes everyone happy, right? I don’t know about you, but when a story is canceled, I die a little inside.

To get the latest chapters as I write them (rather than waiting for the next episode), or if you simply want to support me in this endeavor, consider becoming one of my patrons on Patreon. It’s $1 a month, $12 a year. My goal is to get 2 chapters done every month, but this might not happen because money. We all need it to live, but it sure is a pain in the ass, huh? If I can get 2,000 patrons, I’ll be able to dedicate a lot more time to these books. Think 80 chapters a year instead of maybe 20.

Beyond getting chapters as I finish them, as a patron, you can chat with me and fellow Kestra fans on my private Discord server. You’ll also get the eBooks of the From Bood to Ashes novels (the story in its final form). Last but not least, you’ll get to vote on what story I write after this one is complete. Majority rules.

The future is in your hands, reader. Thanks for joining me on this journey.
