Summer Gardening Adventures

Behold, my first notable harvest of strawberries and raspberries!

I thought snails were my biggest problem, but it turns out my primary battle is with ants. Wish me luck saving my raspberries…

There’s still plenty to celebrate, though! I’m drying my first lavender harvest, which smells soooo good. I can’t wait to use it in tea!

If you drink tea, what’s your favorite kind?

You know who else is gardening in June? Saoirse Bowman, our heroine in The Cauldron (official title pending). I mean, she’s mostly dealing with a werewolf problem, but she also has a garden. I like my cozy with teeth.

If you like urban fantasy with gutsy heroines, ride-or-die found families, true slow-burn romance, and deep magic that blurs the line between light and darkness, you’re going to love this series! And, if you don’t like waiting, you can read an early version of it right now on my Ream: reamstories.com/kestrapingree

The Cauldron is your one-stop shop for charms, candles, and questionable paranormal advice.

Saoirse is a psychometrist—able to glimpse the memories stored in objects with a single touch. It’s a powerful gift, but not one she dares advertise. The last thing she needs is to be labeled a monster. Only Katherine, The Cauldron’s self-proclaimed witch and Saoirse’s boss, knows the truth. Though Saoirse’s gift would undoubtedly draw customers, Katherine respects her decision to keep it hidden.

After all, Saoirse has more than her own secret to protect. Her best friend, Niamh, is a pooka—a shapeshifting troublemaker who would be carted off for scientific study if anyone discovered her.

For the most part, Saoirse’s life is quiet. The customers who wander into The Cauldron are usually seeking tarot readings or incense, and its odd trinkets rarely cause a stir. But that changes when a girl buys an expensive knife rumored to ward off werewolves. She doesn’t blink at the price, and something about her feels… off.

Is she just another paranormal fanatic, or could werewolves actually be real? Saoirse isn’t sure—but she’s about to find out.
