Spring Potion

love violets. They’re lovely wildflowers that’ve been in my yard since childhood. They almost died out, though, and so I decided to save them a couple years ago. Now they’re flourishing.

There are so many interesting things you can do with violets. They’re pretty, so decorations/fun potions like this spring potion I made are always an option!

And they can be used for much more, because they’re also edible. The leaves and flowers. I dried some flowers last year and finally made them into a tea. Venturing into foraging/identifying wild edible plants is new to me, so I had to work up the courage, but look at that lovely color! The scent and taste are mild, but they’re lovely, too. I can’t wait to try more combinations as spring progresses into summer.

If you drink tea, what’s your favorite kind?
